GOod in the sense the Oilers need to put some limits on their patience. The combination of this guy's utter lack of hockey sense and their complete faiure to teach the guy the game at the pro level means he has 2 years to salvage an NHL career. That seems fair.
Then, with any luck, Detroit will pick him up on waivers and turn him into a 40-goal scorer.
