Based on how other NCAA centers have fared in the AHL (like Arnold) I can see Janko holding his own in Stockton. That said, could very much benefit from another year of weight training in college.
As somebody who has been fortunate enough to spend years in university and have a career based on that training, I just can't advocate for 'student athletes' to drop out a year early in order to pursue big league dreams. They've got something good going with the scholarships, and in cases like Janko, will only spend one more year in college as opposed to the AHL. Johnny was a little different, as it was pretty evident that he was likely going to the NHL. Huge earning potential difference by entering the league a year earlier, and he likely has a career set in professional hockey. As hopeful as I am about Jankowski, I'm not convinced he has a full career in professional hockey, and it's worth his while to complete a degree while he can.
