There were some ramblings about Regehr always wanting to be a locker room lawyer and not overly friendly to the Saddledome staff; not sure if they were true, half-true or not at all true. Regardless of those rumors, I always liked Regehr as a player and admired his perseverance after the horrible accident he's been through. I remember how Iginla referred to other teams' forwards having to clear Regehr's "tunnel of death" before they can get anywhere close to the goal, which I thought was hilarious and, at the same time, an indication of respect he was given by others. If my recollection serves me right, he comes from a preacher family. I wouldn't be surprised if Regehr goes to coaching in NHL at some point.
