Anybody who is down on Macs clearly hasn't used one lately. I'm a UNIX/BSD geek, and I live in both Windows and Mac worlds and have for the past 5 years. I also happen to own a new 15" Macbook Pro that recently replace my 12" Powerbook.

The heat thing is WAY overblown.

My Macbook Pro rules. Parallels is awesome and Windows runs very nicely inside it. The integration is really impressive.

I can tell you this about my Macs: They don't crash, they don't get viruses, and they just work. You plug stuff in and they work. They just work.

Think about it: Apple creates the hardware and the operating system. That makes it WAY easier for them to support you if you have an issue. With Microsoft they are always blaming Dell and Dell blames Microsoft. Gong show.

Who should not own a Mac? People who are REALLY into 3D gaming because they titles aren't there. The big ones are available, but nowhere near the selection on the Windows platform.

Spend 1 week with a Mac and you will not go back.
