The Flames had a substantially different roster last year. Had you used any team's stats to predict the performance of a different set of players, you could count on being wrong there too.

Now try looking at *this* season's goal differential – say, at the 60-game mark, when you were confidently predicting (based on Fenwick and Corsi) that the Flames would fall apart and miss the playoffs. Then extrapolate over the remaining games of the season, compare with the actual results, and tell me what you find.
