Agree.
When it is all said and done Feaster (and Darryl) will have their fingerprints all over this team, and they deserve credit for some of their pick ups and the draft picks that have us here today.
Especially Feaster since the core of this team is players he drafted or acquired.
However I still don't feel like the decision to move on was the wrong move, I view it as necessary progression to get to where we are today.
We needed to take that next step to make sure we were building that winning culture around our team.
Deserved or not Feaster had a poor reputation around hockey circles, and that lead to the team being the brunt of jokes, and having a poor reputation (especially after the Ryan O'Reilly debacle and issues with the Iginla trade).
Hiring Burke, and subsequently bringing in Treliving, brought some respect and legitimacy to the organization which IMO has helped them turn it around over the last 18 months.
In the end this is not going to be one GM's "Team", which if you look at how this team actually plays and is built, makes all the sense in the world.
