Edit: Look, let me further clarify my position. I agree, the 3 strikes Laws do not need to be nearly as extensive as the one in California. It seems excessive to sentence someone to life for say stealing a slice of pizza (which I believe actually happened). However, my simple rule stands, don't steal, don't go to jail for life.
