To clarify there are no neighborhoods named Kensington or Marda Loop, but there are districts defined by Business Revitalization Zones called Kensington and Marda Loop.

Similarly, Victoria Park used to be a neighborhood, but was split into Victoria Crossing Centre and East Victoria Crossing when amalgamation in the Beltline happened, but it still exists as a BRZ within those two neighborhoods. So Victoria Park is a district within the neighborhoods of Victoria Crossing and East Victoria Crossing which are in the community of the Beltline...but people still refer to the whole area as Victoria Park.

So you have some laces that started as common parlance but were given legitimacy by being made official districts and others that were legitimate but are now maintained by informal common parlance.


I don't really have a point, just thought some might be interested.
