What you twisted was the aim. Attacking civilians for the sake of killing them doesn't help put an end to war. You attack military targets whereever they lie. Using dirty bombs or chemical weapons invites that kind of response. Obviously it is a moral line which Israel and the civilized world has not been willing to cross.
Hezbolah like Syria and Iran have stated numerous times that their goal was the eradication of Israel. When western press is there they speak of chunks of dirt but, their true aim is demonstrated in how they fight.
Israel's aim is in this conflict is to eliminate the missiles and those who fired them. The UN and Lebanon failed in this mission and because of that it has caused the lost of over 500 lives.
Israel has agreed to suspend its bombing for two days in the hope that the civilians will leave Hezbolah to there fate. I suspect some will chose the martyr's death for them and their families even yet:
