Wow, this is news to me. I've been griping about the 6th Ave / 4th Ave Ctrain crossings for a while. (Which remain horrifically timed, and are the bottleneck getting out of downtown westbound). Be interesting to see what impact this has, as access to the reversed lanes appears pretty minimal (SB 7th, 9th Streets).
Knowing the city, they will use the worst timings possible for the connection lights @ 4th Ave, and all the new capacity will be lost by making 4th Ave worse.
I do not look forward to the addition of 4 car trains on the NW Ctrain line, will just make the problem even worse.
