Don't forget the Red Sox they do exactly the same thing every year except they seem to be forgotten about because everyone hates the Yankees so much.
I think they should get a baseball salary cap but never will because the union is so strong and the owners so fractured.
Back in the 90's the Yankees did a better job of anyone else of developing their prospects 9Jeter, Petite, Soriano, Williams, Posada, Rivera etc.) and combined with their deep pockets they were able to win four world series. Now with onyl deep pockets we have seen them struggle to regain that ame level of dominance.
AS long as this helps to ensure the Red Sox don't make the World Series I am okay with it. The Jays weren't going to make the playoffs anyways so no real reason for their fans to get too upset about it.
