Burrows sees him, and sees him change course. Gaustad changes course and doesn't see Burrows. Burrows had a chance to brace, Gaustad did not. It's unfortunate incidental contact.

Lol! Burrows threw a hit, he didn't "brace" for the hit. Saw an unsuspecting player who was nowhere near the puck, threw a hit with the principle point of contact meeting his head. Brutal. I literally have no clue how anyone could defend that...
