It was brutal. Yes, I'm sure Byfuglien was caught up in the heat of the moment and intensity within the game, but this was completely unwarranted retaliation and is beyond ANY excuse.

Not saying it was warranted nor suspension worthy. Clearly it is. Just saying when you see the slash as Byfuglien did, an attack on his goaltender, you either respond to the slash or you don't. I want my team to respond. Teams like the Oilers don't. The problem with responding is that it doesn't always turn out well, like this didn't....but I'm OK with it when it doesn't, within reason.
