I'd actually be in favor of giving up our automatic spot in the Gold Cup and have us play for a spot through one of the existing competitions. Gives us extra games that are worth a bunch of points and are an opportunity to cap tie young players and if we aren't good enough to get through either of those competitions we probably can't complain about missing out on the Gold Cup.
