The object of the game is not 'to score goals', it is to score more goals than the other team.
Ovechkin is really good at one part of that, not so good at the other part.
There is no question that he is one of the most prolific goal scorers of all time. However, the complete and utter lack of success in the playoffs and Olympics, after more than a decade into his professional career, are pretty telling.
