I bought the ooma package from costco and installed this earlier this week. I opted for the 1 year premier service which includes number porting. I am still waiting to get my SHaw number ported which could take 4 weeks.

So far so good, we don't talk on the landline much, and really just wanted it for the babysitter incase there was an emergency or something. so at $35/month with Shaw it will pay for itself (premier service + Cap cost of system) in the first 6-7 months. and then if I keep premier will have a 3-4 month payback every year.
