What REALLY sucks is that we will miss the playoffs by about 1-2 points. While we make fun of tank-nation....finishing in 9th is the worst thing that can happen.

How are the Flames not in the same class as the teams fighting for the final playoff spots? I think the Flames are in the same class as the Canucks and the Jets. Sure, if the Kings and Wild are playing at their best, I don't think the Flames can beat them, but it isn't about potential. After 74/75 games, the Flames are 1 point back of the Kings and were ahead of them in the standings for a long period of time. The Flames are in the same class because they are in a very similar position in the standings.
Yes it REALLY sucks if this team misses the playoffs by about 1-2 points and finishing 9th is the worst thing that can happen to the Flames RIGHT NOW because they were in a position to make the playoffs and they would have come so close. Besides, it would really help our young guys if they can experience playoff hockey. But this team has exceeded all expectations. And let's stop being so negative. This team is still capable of making this playoffs.
