It might go a long way to explain the Flames continuing defiance of the possession stats - I would assume their scoring chance to shot attempt differential is very high. ie. they tend to shoot when they have a good chance to score, moreso than other teams around the league.
A rules-based scoring chance differential would be really cool to see also, the current way of looking at chances is way too subjective.
