I agree about Montreal starting back-up. They pretty much gave the Jets 2 points before the puck dropped.

LA is playing great but the Rangers should have been a lot more motivated than they looked given they had a chance to put a damper on the playoff hopes of the team that eliminated them in the Stanley Cup finals. Elliot Friedman mentioned this morning that the Habs not starting Price against the Jets raised a few eyebrows across the league. Outside of the Flyers I can't recall a Flames opponent not showing up to play them or an opponent that has gone with their backup. The Blues for instance come in Calgary like they are playing for the cup and against the Jets are a complete no show. Heck even the Avs threw the Canucks a bone starting Berra although it worked out for them (or against them as it looks like the typical Avs tank when they are eliminated trying to move up a few spots in the draft).
I don't believe there's a conspiracy around the league but the Flames really aren't getting any breaks and at the end of the day if they miss the playoffs it will be their poor record against the Eastern conference that probably did them in as all the other Western teams have rolled over even the best teams in the East.
