I can't imagine what those poor people had to go through.

I don't know what else to say other than this is one of those occasions where my heart simply hurts.

I assume that no one will be allowed to be alone in the cockpit as an international rule in the next few days. I also wonder why they don't have an external electronic lock with personal passcodes that the pilot and co-pilot enter when they take possession of the plane. Seems a lot of things can be done to prevent something like this while keeping the cockpit secure.
