A snippet from an article earlier today on how he's been doing since arriving in Utica.

Happy for Sven... seems like the change was what he needed. Not so great for us. Will be happy to see what Calgary turns that 2nd round pick into.

LOOKING LIKE THE SVEN BAERTSCHI FROM PORTLAND
It took all of one game for Sven Baertschi to begin to make an impact with the Comets, following a trade from his apparent doghouse in the Calgary Flames organization to the Canucks at the deadline.
Canucks GM Jim Benning said earlier this month he sees the 22-year-old Swiss forward, the 13th overall pick in 2011, as a potential top-six player.
Since coming to Utica, Baertschi has scored five goals and 10 points in nine games. He’s recorded points in all but one of those games.
Funny about that whole change-of-scenery thing.
In moving to Utica, Baertschi was been reunited with Green, who coached him back in Portland of the WHL.
During his junior days, Baertschi ripped up the WHL, with 33 goals and 94 points in 47 games for his final season.
In his last three games, Baertschi has scored four times, having been moved onto a line with Cory Conacher, another trade deadline pick-up, albeit in a minor league deal, and Alex Friesen only two games ago.
“I think he’s feeling a little bit more confident,” said Green. “There’s something to be said about young players and a mindset.
“I’m starting to see the Sven Baertschi I had in Portland.”
