Lots to do in London during the summer, unless things have changed in the last 10 years. There used to be something going on most weekends, either in Victoria park or Harris park (or both). The patio at TJ Baxters was great.
But major acts and things rarely go to London, so you are correct on that point.
It kind of makes me laugh when the guy irate about an anti-Calgary letter has a nickname of "kootenayguy9". Was "calgaryguy9" already taken?
