Some don't acknowledge cap changing hands in deals put without them a lot of these deals won't happen without them... if the deals wouldn't happen without their inclusion then they make up a vital part of the deal

To say I signed Horton and then traded him for a 2nd, look at me I'm a genius is a little misleading as part of the deal, leaving out that you are paying his salary to play for another team. Hell they can waive and sent Horton to the minors and rest on the idea that they got almost 3M for a cheaper price most teams pay for cap
