I would take Tanev on this contract for the Flames right now. It would help us out a alot. The comparison to Brodie's contract is unfair becasue of how good that deal is right now and it buys 1 less UFA year.

The replacement value of this in the UFA world is well over 5 million. A good signing for the Canucks. Interesting to see what the limited no trade is. I would love if it is just a no Edmonton clause becasue with how badly Edmonton needs defensemen all NHL Dmen need to be worried.
