Some local lower mainland breweries are kickng out some nice stuff. Dageraad is a Belgian brewery that has some very nice beers. Nice little tasting room and the people there are great to talk to. Yellow Dog has really come on strong lately. Their stout won beer of the year in BC I believe.
Two of my favs (may have mentioned them before ) are The Back Hand of God stout and Gael potato ale from Crannog out of Sorrento BC. Both are fantastic.
I need to drink more beer...
