I find the craft beer vs. other beer argument funny. The music analogy is pretty accurate IMO.

I listen to a lot of indie music and most of my favourite musicians tend to be "indie-ish", but that doesn't mean that there isn't a boat load of crap indie bands out there are trying to sell that image while making a sub-par product.

Craft beer is the same. I find that the fast majority of it is nothing to write home about, but there are some real gems hidden in there that are better than the big popular brands. You just need to weed through a lot of crap to find it. And like indie music, a lot of craft beer companies are trying to sell themselves on image more than the product.

Saying you like craft beer is a really broad statement.
