I love trying out new beers...if I go out to a pub for a couple I'll probably order something a little off the beaten path. BUT if I'm sitting out in the backyard having an all day piss up, by beer 4 or 5 I'm not even tasting what I'm drinking anymore. Doesn't matter if it's unicorn tears or Lucky Lager.

Sure, I'll have a few "good" beers at the start of the session. However, if my end goal is getting blotto around a fire I'm not going to spend $60 on 3 six packs of craft beer when I can get a 48 pack of Bud from Costco for $60.

Also, if you're my friend and you come over and i offer you a beer...you're most likely not getting the same fancy thing that I'm drinking. Why not? Because most times when I offer someone a craft beer they drink 1/4 of the bottle and decide they don't like it. That and I 'm a bad friend. And I'm cheap. Nope, if you're my friend and I offer you a beer you're getting the cheapest stuff I have or something someone left behind in my fridge.

Between beer at sporting events, camping, weddings etc I'm drinking probably 75% domestic crap. Think of it as that chubby girl you used to call late at night to come over. You know it's not the best out there, but it's cheap, it's readily available and in the end the result is the same.
