I don't mind the lack of a Bennettesque edge. Monahan's quiet style works for him. Sneak in, shoot, score, go to the dot.

If he becomes a bit of edgier player, it might take away his effectiveness and for sure will take him off the PK and the ice a bit via penalties (even coincidental ones).
