He was, because he wasn't given the opportunity to be better. The Flames out played the jackets, giving Bobverosky the ability to be the better goalie. If the Flames players hadn't completely gifted Columbus the two goals they scored, you could make your point, but seen as they left Ramo out to dry completely, the individual errors on this goals are what needs to called out, not Ramo's lower save % on the night. It's about context, and why people need to watch the games rather than just look at the stat sheets (not saying you didn't watch). Goaltending might have been a positive story for CBJ yesterday, but it was not a negative one for Calgary, and it wasn't given the opportunity to be a positive on either.

Besides, going into the game, you'd likely be willing to suggest the one area the Flames might not have Columbus beat is between the pipes, but should win everywhere else. They did that, with the exception of our PP and goal scorers didn't finish the way they should have and we delivered a disaster choke job on an individual play by Russell. That's the game story, not that Ramo didn't out play Bobverosky with limited opportunity to do so. Focusing on that is covering your eyes in regards to what the real problems were yesterday.
