Flames scored on a bad bounce and so as the Blue Jackets. It happens and nothing they can do about it. I am dissapointed that the Flames lost but at least they got a point on that lost. Blaming one or more players on that lost is ridiculous. The only thing I am not happy right now is seeing the other lines not scoring NOT for lack of effort. It seems that lately, the Flames have to rely on the 1st line and Wideman, Russell and Brodie for scoring. If other team shuts down the 1st line or those 3 D that I mentioned, the team just can't score. I thought Stajan's line was buzzing today but same thing, they can't finish.
Referees today I thought did well. They let the players decide the game. Gaudreau's diving penalty was borderline. It looks like he dove for the puck but that is easy for us to see it. Ref had to make a split second decision so I guess we can't blame him for calling that dive. Even the Columbus interference penalty late in the game puzzled me a bit. It took until Hrudey explanation(after talking to McGeough) that I did see why he called for it.
It's a tough lost but like I said at least we got a point out of it and we are still ahead by 2 points on LA.
