First it was cool to like/read Dan Brown. Then it was cool to bash Dan Brown. Now it seems like its becoming cool to admit to reading and enjoying Dan Brown even though you thought it was a bad book. The only constant here is that cash register sound going off at Dan Brown's house.
I read Angels and Demons in two days and the Da Vinci Code over the course of about a week. There were times that I couldn't put the stupid things down because I wanted to read what was going to happen next. That's a good test for a trashy entertainment novel I suppose. I still think there were tremendous plot holes, the story was poorly written and the whole religious controversy was overblown. I wouldn't recommend anyone read those books but if you did and you liked them then you're okay by me.
