I'd also say that Stajan is still a much better C than Granlund, who might just end up being a better winger. I actually think Shore is the competition for Stajan next year. Maybe Jooris too, though he is really bad at faceoffs. Plus there's Stajan's leadership factor. You kind of need the old grizzled vet on the bottom forward ranks.
Raymond - I think Byron and Granlund are his competition. Both play better D, and could contribute as much offensively if they start to click.

I don't disagree with you there, though I see Stajan and Granlund as more or less equals on the ice... but, I think Granlund has shown this year that he should be in the NHL even with the mid-season lull, and Shore has to clear waivers next year. I count 17 players for 13 spots, with 4 (Ferland, Poirer, Granlund, Bennett) being guys that can be returned to the AHL/CHL. Pending possible trades of coarse (Granlund makes sense) it seems logical to me to open up 2 spots (Poirer, Granlund/Bennett) which IMO coincides with 2 players that should be moved out*.
* I personally think that Jones, Bollig and Byron both have roles on this team more important than Stajan and Raymond, though I recognize that Stajan is well liked.
