Problem being that Stajan and Raymond are signed long term, are hard to trade, and probably wouldn't withstand waivers, versus guys who can move up and down from Stockton with ease (contract status wise).
I'd also say that Stajan is still a much better C than Granlund, who might just end up being a better winger. I actually think Shore is the competition for Stajan next year. Maybe Jooris too, though he is really bad at faceoffs. Plus there's Stajan's leadership factor. You kind of need the old grizzled vet on the bottom forward ranks.
Raymond - I think Byron and Granlund are his competition. Both play better D, and could contribute as much offensively if they start to click.
