Just recently (june 2014) Nvidia enabled cards with HDMI 1.4 to display 4K. The trouble is it doesn't do the standard YCbCR 4:4:4 and only uses 4:2:0 which is fine for movies but not for using as an computer monitor. This effects people who want to use a small (40") TV as a monitor and has caused a lot of angst with Samsung who claim to do the full standard but according to tests often don't, when using the latest Nvidia 900 series cards which have the HDMI 2.0 outlets.

Anyways have you considered using a 4K TV as your monitor and if you or others do, do the research before hand. The new JU7100 seems to be 444 chroma for now. Last year Samsung changed their chipsets mid season so that the newer ones didn't work full chroma but they are a great TV.
