Classless (especially since, at one point, he also apparently had an understanding with Phoenix). Nonetheless, I don't think he would have gotten much playing time at all in TO. He can play three positions, but he very possibly would have found himself behind Graham and Garbajosa at SF, Peterson and Parker at SG, and behind Ford at PG. Toronto is going to be extremely competitive (I mean as far as spots within the team) next year, and I think Salmons realized that he was going to be going to a team where he would be expected to fight for playing time, as opposed to filling a hole with playing time ready for him.
