Not a lot of testing on Varlomov, and the top line has some good ideas, but being a little bit too cute/not strong enough in executing them and they're getting pushed off the puck a bit too easy. The other lines feed off that top line, and thus you see a pretty lethargic 4 line effort tonight, against a team desperate for a win, or else.
In general the Flames are losing the battle in the Avs zone, and not doing very well with the neutral zone possession either.
