...Which is the silliest thing to panic over. Here we've got Josh Jooris on our NHL team looking like a stud with only half the tools Jankowski has and he was still a Freshman when he was Jankowski's age.

Detroit's 2nd line center Riley Sheahan (*going by minutes) at Jankowski's age put up almost identical stats in his 3rd college year and now he's a consistent contributor to a top team.

You don't need to a PPG in NCAA to be a successful NHLer. It's not the CHL. And there's no actual pressure on Jankowski to be anything other than a skilled 3rd LW or 4th line center though it would certainly be awesome if he's our #2LW that win take faceoffs for Bennett. But that said I'll go off on a limb and say he's still looking like a better prospect than Granlund or Bill Arnold, both of whom I think are NHLers. Man, I feel bad for Max Reinhart... every year a guy comes in to push him further and further down.
Those are 2 examples. Another poster said only 2 players drafted in the first or second round that failed to put up PPG made the show.
I DO think Jankowski will make the NHL, but think his career will be similar to say jamie Lundmark. If things go great he could be a bit better then Colborne.

These players were select in the 2nd round between 2011-2013:
Ty Rattie, Thomas Jurco, Boone Jenner, John Gibson,Brandon Saad, Brett Ritchie, Matthew Nieto, Kucherov, Damon Severson, De la Rose, Fucale, Petan not to mention another couple dozen prospects id take over Jankowski. Hell I'd take a lot of these guys over Colborne who Jankowski MIGHT turn into if things go great.
