For me it boils down to a simple question (with an answer that none of us are qualified to make)... what is the chance that Jankowski becomes a career NHL player (call that 200GP)?

What sign has Jankowski shown that he's
not a career NHL player?
People are just judging him based just on one thing and that's the idea that he's not putting up a PPG.
...Which is the silliest thing to panic over. Here we've got Josh Jooris on our NHL team looking like a stud with only half the tools Jankowski has and he was still a
Freshman when he was Jankowski's age.
Detroit's 2nd line center Riley Sheahan (*going by minutes) at Jankowski's age put up almost identical stats in his 3rd college year and now he's a consistent contributor to a top team.
You don't need to a PPG in NCAA to be a successful NHLer. It's not the CHL. And there's no actual pressure on Jankowski to be anything other than a skilled 3rd LW or 4th line center though it would certainly be awesome if he's our #2LW that win take faceoffs for Bennett. But that said I'll go off on a limb and say he's still looking like a better or comparable prospect to Granlund or Bill Arnold, both of whom I think are NHLers. Man, I feel bad for Max Reinhart... every year a guy just comes in to push him further and further down when once he was our top center prospect after Backlund.
