He said he wasn't going to re-sign. That's asking for either a trade or to be cut loose as a free agent to play elsewhere. And Treliving said his agent did ask for a trade.
I understand he wants to play. I even understand he thinks he deserved to play, an opinion with which some posters here agree. And I can even understand the business decision to essentially force a trade, which I guess is predicated on the second point. But he could have moved on and not said anything about the discussions. Instead he decided to either semantically split hairs or directly call Treliving a liar. Why not leave it be?
