Whether it's because of organizational bias or Sven himself, Sven is not playing in the NHL right now because he was beat out by the likes of Josh Jooris for a spot on this team. Debate away if you think Jooris, Gaudreau, Colborne actually outplayed Sven, but don' pretend he slam dunk anything.
Also, interesting in your passionate defense of Sven that you use the word "satisfactory" when describing his performance. That might just say it all..............

This argument is getting very tired.
The facts do show his results were on par or better than Colborne, Monahan, Glencross, Setoguchi and others when he was given quality time.
Satisfactory results for a 13th overall pick are actually pretty good.
I never said he was a slam dunk, those are your words....but why throw away a blue chip prospect when he is performing as expected when put in his expected role?, and why refuse to give him that role after a brief trial.
I think he'd look pretty good on the 2nd line right about now.
Anyway, he isn't a Flame anymore, so we have to move on....I am not just going to pretend that it was a good decision like others have.
