I'd love for us to move up way high in the draft but if the player at hypothetically third overall doesn't pan out, gah, it just scares me! Plus our drafting in the later rounds has improved I think, but a higher pick to nab an elite dman probably moves the rebuild along significantly... hmmm. We already have lots of depth/skill though in goal and C. Left wing too. Right wing is getting there but the D is the biggest weakness. The Flames as an organization are heavy on quantity, but outside the LW, C, and G, not so much on quality.

I think you take the risk and draft hypothetical 3rd overall for Hanifin. For the poor team that's willing to give up a 3rd overall for all of our top 6... yeesh.
