Just one of the few annoying points in the episode is how deus ex machina that kid being there was. You knew she was going to get caught even though there was no reason she should be.

I don't know if that kid showing up qualifies as a deus ex machina, since the kid being there didn't really solve any problems..
I did find their little chat a bit haunting even for Carol.
On another note, I wonder if the group is going to fracture somehow with certain members feeling quite happy and content in their new surroundings, and the others wanting to take it over. I am not really sure why Rick, Darryl, and Carol were even considering it. There doesn't seem to be a need for conflict. Even if the community was weak, that doesn't seem to be a reason to want to take it over.
