Well now we know what Deanna's buttons are. The town and its success are everything to her now. Sasha really got under her skin with her comment.
It's pretty safe to say that what we gained from the character interactions in this episode was that Deanna may consider in the future either banishing Sasha or having her killed through some sort of setup, as it appears that she won't become accepting of this attempt at a society any time soon. Secondly, Rick is embracing some pretty dark thoughts with his newfound position of power and authority. Looks like he's starting to dig this girl, and may consider "taking out" her husband if need be (the reaching for his gun as they walked together). Ironically, while he stands for the law in his sheriffs uniform, he's the one who's contemplating breaking it for his own benefit. They're trying to show us the permanent effects that the experiences over the course of the show would have on someone who's suddenly pulled out of the wild and forced back into a society. You're just not the same. Rick will start to claim what he feels he wants and needs, and I can see him start to go down a path very similar to the Governor..where he acts on his own desires and emotions and utilizes his power to get what he wants, which he'll probably then shake before it's too late..cause well, they'll probably want to keep him semi likeable as the hero character. We'll just call it a dark phase for him. That would be kind of cool, at least.
