Hurricanes Roll Out Welcome Wagon
The Carolina Hurricanes will be beefing up security at RBC Center for Friday’s home game against the Minnesota Wild. “it only a precautionary measure” said GM Hanna “as we have a feeling that the game might get out of hand before the 3rd period, and we owe it to our fans to provide a safe environment”. This has come about with the recent acquisition by the Wild of goaltender José Théodore on Tuesday.
With José Théodore’s ties to biker gang Hells Angels and a recent block of tickets purchased over the Hurricanes web site from a Montréal area raised a few eyebrows within the Hurricanes organization. “Nominally when something like this comes up, or Théodore is playing in town, we are able to keep it low key” responded Hanna “but, we have a feeling that by the second period and when Théodore has been chased from the net, we didn’t want any incidents happening from a remote rouge gang”.
