Not directly related to any of the Flames prospects (although, it will impact who BU and PC play next week), UMass and Notre Dame played the longest game in NCAA Hockey history on Friday night:

The game finally ended with UMass winning in the 5th OT period after 151 minutes and 42 seconds of playing time at 1:24 am ET. The Notre Dame goalie set an NCAA record, stopping 87 of the 91 shots he faced.
After that marathon, the two teams have to do it all over again tonight, with game 2 of the best-of-three going at 7:30 pm ET, and if ND can win it, they have to play again on Sunday night.
UMass was the lowest-ranked team in HockeyEast this season, so if they win, they will play BU next week.
Petersen is a Sabres draft pick.
