Also, speaking of rapid growth, according to the 1978 Encyclopedia Britannica, Airdrie had a population of ~670 at that time. This years census put it over 29,000. The entire Calgary Metro is probably pushing 1.25 million by now.

Thats crazy, before I left Airdire in 93 the population was around 10,000. Calgary and area seem to be booming. Might have to add a few more to Cowtown, me and the wife are gonna move back in a year or two.
