Yeah agreed. Just thought you framed it as a good thing, when it's something that really bothered me (and does so with real politicians, obviously).

I like how the show mimics (and sometimes almost parodies) real life politics and politicians. Dunbar reflecting an Elizabeth Warren-type candidate. When she welcomed Sharpe's support but offered her nothing in return, I wanted to run and cast a vote for her. It's why I thought the diary thing was kind of dumb and unneccesary, just from a story standpoint. I think she would have been a much better foil to Underwood is she had stayed the course that way and maybe they ended the season on a cliffhanger for who won the caucus. They could even have Netflix users vote for each candidate and build the next season off the results. That might be kind of cool.

Just think they missed a good opportunity for an interesting character by corrupting her that early. Especially when the deal ended up bunk anyways.
