Except for as mentioned before, Sven spiral began way before Burke joined. Burke joined the summer after the season Sven got sent down to the minors for the entire back half of the season following his miracle 5 game stint the year before. Burke's comment were simply repeats of what even Feaster and Hartley were already saying about him.
Sven fan boys are often Burke haters as well, and love to pretend that Sven's down fall all started when Burke arrived and called him out. I wouldn't buy it even if the timing worked out, but given the timing actually doesn't work out at all, its simply an argument of convenience. I like X, I don't like Y, therefore I'm going to convince myself Y hurt X.
