Just saw the last episode, I liked it! In my opinion, that's how you do a slower, conversation based episode.

The conversations moved the plot, weren't just 'oh, I'm going to explain my character'. They were intense, there was emotion and suspense behind them. The cut scenes of the interviews were done well, and placed into the episode well. The conflict of the characters was clearly visible, the need for Rick and Carl to 'do some zombie killing' was especially interesting. The differences in reactions of the new reality in the group was interesting. I really liked Carol's method of 'playing' their new group. She's obviously keeping her cards close to the chest and giving them what she thinks they want.

If the majority if the slow episodes were like this, I wouldn't be complaining as much. And don't get me wrong, I do get tired of that. I don't mean to come in here and crap on everyone's parade, it can just be such a frustrating show to watch at times. And I see that many agree with me. I'm just working through my own opinions too.

The episode before this was pretty good too. I didn't get a chance to say that last week.

A few more specific thoughts on the episode. I found Rick's interaction with the one nameless guy really interesting for a reason I'm not sure was touched on. He kinda came across just like Carol's abusive husband back in season one, I thought that as soon as it went down. Which may be the point, because the very next scene was Carol talking about her downed hubby, and funny enough, how much she missed him, which we know, isn't true anymore.

There's always an asshat in the group. Even if the general consensus is good, it only takes one guy like that, or Aiden, to really mess things up.

I thought the episode was suspenseful enough without having Rick make that threat against their new saviors at the end. I thought that was already a little obvious in his thinking, but ok.

Can't remember the other thoughts. Probably good enough for now.
