I think you over estimate the mitigating value of an apology from a media organization, if you or I, or say the original tweeter, says sorry quickly, then our relative inexperience will be taken into account, but TSN is supposed to both know better, have the resources and skills to prevent this and also will have caused far greater damage, sorry won't get them off the hook.
